California Lawyers for the Arts is offering a paid internship program for folks who’ve been formerly incarcerated and want to explore careers in the arts.

Here’s what you’ll receive:

  • $20/hour, ~20 hours/week during a 4-month internship

  • Monthly transportation stipends + reimbursements for personal tech costs

  • Mentorship and hands-on training with arts organizations Support services: education & career counseling, social services, and professional development workshops (job readiness, communication, conflict resolution) 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18+ years old

  • Live in or near Los Angeles County 

  • Formerly incarcerated, released within the past 7 years 

  • Interest in the arts (you don’t need experience) 

  • Able to commit to the full 4-month period

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
