This coming January, the Los Angeles Public Library will offer a FREE four-week computer literacy class to support people returning home from incarceration. This class will help folks build essential digital skills needed for daily life, employment, and reentry success.

The curriculum will cover computer foundations like:

  • Using web browsers

  • Setting up and managing email

  • Organizing files

  • Basic word processing

  • Understanding online privacy and safety.

To support participants’ reentry goals, certificates of completion will be available upon request each week, providing proof of attendance for employers, case managers, or reentry programs.

Classes will be offered in-person at Central Library, Meeting Room A (1st Floor) located at 630 W. 5th Street Los Angeles, CA 90071

Sessions will take place every Tuesday in January, from 3:30–5:30 PM:

  • January 6, 2026

  • January 13, 2026

  • January 20, 2026

  • January 27, 2026
